Colorado, USA
Fort Collins, CO -- We flew our flags today and rolled out in search of flags flying elsewhere. It is Patriot Day aka the anniversary of 09/11/2001. We saw flags flying from a few houses, fence posts, and in front of businesses, many of them at half mast. I have to wonder... unless you have your head stuck in a place where the sun don't shine... you cannot have escaped knowing what today is and what it means to all Americans whether you acknowledge it or not. So... I have to ask... where are those signs of respectful American patriotism?
It wasn't a long ride. Actually, we ran a couple of errands and took a spin around the lakes and stopped for an ice cream before heading back home to relax on the patio. I'm thinking we are a bit weary still from our great road trip to Texas.

Lazy ride around the lakes
Riding down from Carter Lake - look how dry everything is - low humidity and no rain in weeks... you can almost feel the crackle in the air
Scruffy Tim enjoys ice cream cone
This is my favorite flag shot of the day -- a tiny produce stand in the middle of nowhere - not far from here was a large well-to-do bedroom community - not a single flag flying
Thanks for the tips on places to eat :)
