Megargel TX Centennial Parade - Mission #3 this week... and then #4

May 8, 2010
Fort Collins, CO

Dad - Megargel Centennial 2010 Wichita Falls, TX -- Ted (that's my Dad) and friends, all members of the PGR who rode to Megargel, TX to participate as honor escort for Veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam during the Centennial celebration. The day long celebration included a parade, antique car, truck and tractor show, horseshoe and washer tournaments, clowns and face painting, good food and a street dance. Sounds like fun - don't it?

Dad, ride captain for this mission reports the event had a great turnout of riders and enthusiastic locals on hand to cheer the parade.

After taking in the highlights of the Megargel Centennial Celebration, this group of patriots went on yet another mission to welcome home Captain John Haile, United States Marine Corps, who flew into Wichita Falls to meet his 5 month old baby daughter Aleese for the first time as his wife Blaire looks on. This is about as good as welcome home mission gets folks - WOW. Welcome home soldier.

That's four missions in a single week for Dad... He says no big deal - if there were more missions he would have attended more missions.
