How it all Began

From Reflections 2007...

Early summer 2007 - Around Memorial Day, I get a call from Mom. She tells me Dad bought a Harley-Davidson motorcyle. Wow!

Dad rode and raced and worked on motorcycles in his youth but has not ridden in over 50 years. At age 71, my ultra kool DAD is back in the saddle of a sweet H-D Dyna Super-Glide and having a blast. (See picture below). Of course, Dad says Mom bought the motorcycle because she initiated the paperwork. Besides, revisiting all the back roads in Texas and Oklahoma he has ridden with The Patriot Guard and on several memorial missions, charitable benefit and toy runs. Now we all have H-D fever and a big case of i-wanna-it.

Thanksgiving 2007 found us on the road to Texas again to spend some time with the folks. We drove all night to get to Wichita Falls in time to see Dad ride in a Toy Run. We were tired but really enjoyed the event which had a huge turnout. The weather was perfect!

We left Texas with an incurable case of Harley-Envy. Thanks, Dad...
