Truck stop coffee and coffee cake ride

January 21, 2012
Colorado, USA

Johnsons Corner Coffee CakeNo, it was not really warm enough to ride - so what?

We managed to get a little over 100 miles in, taking the long way around to Johnson's Corner Truck Stop on I-25. By the time we got there we were ready for a cup of their strong, hot coffee and pie or cake or something like that. Today we chose the coffee crunch cake. YUM!

The Ride at Johnson's CornerWe were not the only ones out taking advantage of a quick break in winter weather. More snow is due in tomorrow.

Snow squallWe had flurries shortly after rolling back in the drive. We could see little snow squalls rolling over the foothills on our way back in. We were a bit chilled but it was nothing that a bowl of chili and two or maybe it was three hot toddies couldn't fix.
