Wichita Falls, TX -- Dad and a few of his buddies (John, Bud, Nubbin, Gary and Joe) were out and about today on, as one friend puts it - a clear the cobwebs ride. Texas weather has been rainy, cloudy and cool for a couple of weeks now I think. Their ride took them through Jacksboro and a mandatory stop at the Green Frog Restaurant, Olney and another mandatory stop at the Dairy Queen and to Fort Belknap where there is a great little museum that we went to a good many years back. I'd like to go there again sometime - maybe next summer.John is a friend and as it happens a great photographer. Pictures (I embellished a couple of them) are compliments of his talent and generosity. Thanks, John. It's good to see you out riding again.
Update: If you see the comment below this post by Nezzie then you need to know that a couple of the riders took Mom seriously since they didn't hear from Dad for a few days. Understand. They live in Texas. I live in Colorado. I was getting emails from scared bikers wondering if Dad really was grounded. Oh me!

ReplyDeleteJUST A BRIEF NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW AFTER REVIEWING THE PICTURES OF "THE GUYS DAY OUT" AND THE NICE PICTURE OF TED AND YOU KNOW WHO, YOU ARE ON NOTICE AT THIS TIME THAT HE HAS BEEN GROUNDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERY TIME HE IS OUT AND ABOUT WITH "HIS FRIENDS" HE HAS TO HAVE HIS PICTURE TAKEN WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX. SO WE WILL SEE HOW THIS WILL WORK OUR FOR HIM.
